On 3rd and 4th February 2014, ACT in collaboration with EAFF conducted a two days training in Moshi town, Tanzania. The training was aligned to a project titled Strengthening Capacity of Farmer Organizations through Knowledge Management and Institutional Development. This project aims at “Developing of a functional and effective knowledge hub for farmers’’.
On 2nd and 3rd December 2013 ACT held its Annual Stakeholders Workshop and the Annual General Meeting, respectively. The workshop which was attended over by 80 participants, (including representatives of foreign partners / collaborators) deliberated on three issues:
Tanzania Private Sector Foundation – TPSF held its 14th Annual General Meeting on 16th August 2013, at Serena Hotel, Dar es Salaam. Parallel with the AGM, was an election of a new Board of Directors which will be in office for two years.

Agricultural Council of Tanzania – ACT cooperated with the Agricultural Non-State Actors Forum – ANSAF to make a study on the challenges that impede cashew production and its marketing. This study was spearheaded by a consultant from Ireland, Mr. James Fitzpatrick. BEST-AC provided the fund for this exercise.
