The Agricultural Council of Tanzania (ACT) has signed a two-year agreement (MoU) with Aceli Africa to build a finance market for an inclusive agricultural sector. ACT and Aceli Africa will play an active role in; -

  1. Mobilizing stakeholders in the agricultural finance ecosystem, providing support in escalating policy-related issues with relevant policy actors to promote a more inclusive enabling environment for agricultural SME finance.
  1. Supporting agricultural SMEs to grow and scale up by addressing barriers related to access to finance through the provision of business advisory services and training (technical assistance).
  • Conducting outreach to agricultural SMEs that meet Aceli support criteria, evaluating SME interest and coordinatingapplications for Aceli programs, knowledge, and information sharing on SME outcomes and efficacy of Aceli programs, building partnerships/alliances with potential stakeholders, and improving access to finance for SMEs by addressing encountered barriers that deter access to finance
