Dr. Jacqueline Mkindi is a Development Manager specialized in Agriculture Business and Trade. She is the CEO for TAHA and Chairperson of TAHA Commercial Companies (TAHAFRESH Handling Ltd and GreenCert Ltd), an entrepreneur and has provided strong leadership in shaping and transforming the multi million dollars horticultural industry in Tanzania. She has been very instrumental in creating and facilitating transformative partnerships with the Government of Tanzania and Development Partners such as USAID, EU, UNDP, International Trade Centre (ITC), the Dutch, Belgian, Finnish, Swedish (SIDA) and Danish (DANIDA) Governments, to mention but a few. She has participated in a number of trade facilitation and negotiations platforms particularly on EAC, SADC, ECOWAS, EU and also on business issues governing trade relationship between African countries and United States of America.

 

Her involvement in various business and trade facilitation processes at the national, regional and international levels has significantly contributed towards the speedy growth of the industry, TAHA and its subsidiaries. Jacqueline serves on Advisory Boards of several Public and Private Local, Regional and International platforms. She is the Immediate Past Chairperson (IPC) of the Agricultural Council of Tanzania (ACT) and sits on the executive council of the Board of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF). She also represents Tanzania in the Consultative Committee of the Common Fund for Commodities with headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands. She was recently nominated a member of an International Steering Committee of the Food and Forest Development Finland (FFD) - Hope, a platform to promote climate responsibility and sustainable development to mitigate climate change risks where she represents the Southern Farmer Organizations World. In March 2023, she was appointed to the Presidential Agriculture Advisory Council by Her Excellency, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.

 

Jacqueline is a Certified Director and has been awarded a Certificate in Directorship (CiDir) by the Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT) in August, 2019.

 

She has won several local and international awards as A Woman of Impact in transforming agriculture, particularly the horticulture industry in Tanzania.
