Fatma Riyami Diwani is a distinguished Tanzanian agribusiness leader and financial strategist with over 40 years of experience across agricultural value chains, agro-processing, and export development. As the Founder and Managing Director of NatureRipe Kilimanjaro Limited, she has been at the forefront of fruit production and exports since 2006, specializing in value-added products and the integration of smallholder farmers into quality supply chains.

With a professional background that includes senior finance roles at Air Tanzania Corporation and tenure as Director of Finance & Administration for the Equal Opportunities for All Trust Fund (EOTF), Fatma brings a rigorous approach to financial strategy and institutional governance. Her academic foundation includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from IFM Dar es Salaam and a Diploma in Economic Planning from IDM Mzumbe.

Fatma’s extensive board portfolio reflects her commitment to sector development and inclusive growth:

  • Current Board Leadership: She serves as a Consultative Committee Member for the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), Chairperson of the Association of Mango Growers (AMAGRO), and is a long-standing Advisory Council Member for BRAC.
  • Sector Advocacy: She holds board positions with the Agriculture Non-State Actors Forum (ANSAF) and the African Agribusiness Academy.
  • Institutional Governance: Her previous board service includes the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (TCCIA), the Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA), the Business Registration and Licensing Agency (BRELA), and the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS).
  • Women’s Economic Empowerment: She is a former Chairperson of the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) and has served on the boards of the East African Women Entrepreneurs Exchange Network and the Somalia, South Sudan, and Tanzania Exchange Network.
