The Agricultural Council of Tanzania is an apex organization for private sector stakeholders in agriculture (crop, livestock, fisheries and forestry etc.) uniting and representing them to safeguard their interests.
Its core function is lobbying and advocacy for better business environment of its members and the general agricultural community. It was established in 1999 but became operationally active since 2005 when the Secretariat (for overseeing activities of the organization on daily basis) was installed.
In October 2020, ACT signed a signed a contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (represented by the Norwegian Embassy in Tanzania) to implement a new phase of TAP known as the Partnership for Scale (PFS). The program started on October, 2020 to September, 2023. This is a continuation of 2nd phase of the TAP Program which was officially closed in May, 2020. The goal of PFS is: Improved Food & Nutrition Security and Poverty Reduction. PFS outcomes are: Increased Productivity of Smallholder Farmers; Increased Economically Viable Business Opportunities and Employment for Private Sector Actors; and Farming Household Consumption Patterns Improved. Implementation of the program will focus on enhanced partnerships in 33 districts of mainland Tanzania within a period of 3 years.
The Agricultural Council of Tanzania hereby requests a for Audit proposal for the Partnership for Scale project financial Statements for the reporting period of October 2020 date of the beginning of activities to 31 December 2021.
General scope of work
The auditor shall audit project Financial Statements and express an audit opinion(s) on whether the Financial statements of the project present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the project, and on funds received and expenditures incurred for the relevant accounting period in conformity with the International Financial Reporting Standards.
Assignment Duration: Two (2) Weeks
