AUDIT OF FARMERS ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE AFRICA, CARIBBEAN AND PACIFIC COUNTRIES (FO4ACP) PROJECT STATEMENT OF EXPENDITURE AND PERFORM AGREED UPON PROCEDURES.
The Agricultural Council of Tanzania (ACT) has received financial support from Southern African Confederation of Agricultural Unions (SACAU) to implement a 5-year project aimed to improve livelihood, food and nutrition security of organized smallholders and family farm involved in Rice production in Mvomero District, Morogoro region. The primary source of the fund is European Union Commission (EC) through International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). At regional (SACAU) level the project is known as ‘Farmers’ Organizations for the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Countries’ (FO4ACP) aims to increase income and to improve livelihood, food and nutrition security and safety of organized smallholder and family farmers in the region.
The specific objectives of the project are; (i) to improve the capacity of farmer organizations (FOs) and farmer-led enterprises to provide technical and economic services to their members; (ii) to enhance the capacity of ACT to influence policies and business environments for the transformation of family farming and development of sustainable, adaptive economic initiatives and farmer-led enterprises; and (iii) to capacitate FOs to be accountable organizations to effectively perform their institutional functions. The expected outcomes of the project are; (i) FOs and farmer-led enterprises improve technical and economic services along the agricultural value chains; (ii) FOs influence policies and business environments for the transformation of family farming and the development of sustainable, inclusive economic initiatives and farmer-led enterprises; and (iii) FOs are accountable organizations able to effectively perform their institutional functions.
The Agricultural Council of Tanzania hereby requests a for Audit proposal for the Farmers’ Organizations for the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Countries’ (FO4ACP) project Statements of Expenditure for the reporting period of 1 st January 2021 date of the beginning of activities to 31 December 2021.
General scope of work
The auditor shall audit project Statement of expenditure as per the ToR requirements.
Assignment Duration: Two (2) Weeks
